Background
Working on his own in a small workshop, Geoff designs and makes each folding or fixed blade knife from start to finish. The work is executed by hand and eye using simple tools and basic equipment to achieve a very high standard of craftsmanship with exacting tolerances in the construction of each knife. He believes in sole authorship but when embellishment is considered appropriate, Artists are commissioned for engraving and scrimshaw works.
Geoff Hague trained as an architect and after more than twenty years in this field in 1993 he decided to start his knife making business to fulfil a long held ambition. His skills are largley self-taught through a need to know, trial and error and much practice. He now enjoys using his design ability and attention to detail to produce high quality, functional, as well as aesthetically satisfying cutting tools for the discerning user and the collector alike.
